I wanted to take a moment and congratulate Sandra Ingerman on being named one of the Top Ten Spiritual Heroes by Spirituality & Health Magazine. She was awarded this honor for her work teaching shamanism, but especially for the Medicine for the Earth work, which shows us how to transform personal and environmental toxins.
Other recipients of the award include Pema Chodron, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, India Arie, Adyashanti, Paige Elenson, Chief Oren Lyons, Sister Simone Campbell, Stacey Kennealy, and Robert Peng.
The article and more information will appear in the November/December issue.
I have had the great fortune of working with Sandra extensively over the years. When studying with a teacher, we obviously want to work with someone who is knowledgable on their topic, we hope they have an engaging style, and if we are lucky they bring something more to the class than a good and informative show. Sandra is exceptional. She teaches and acts with integrity, both inside the class space and out; she has a profound understanding of shamanism; she creates safe and sacred space for the group and the individual; she simply radiates. If you have the opportunity to work with her, take it.
Wishing you a peaceful heart,
Mara
