Gunning down the poets. I read an exquisite poem by a woman murdered by ICE.
The title didn’t lead me to want to read this poem, but I did anyway.
Renée Nicole Good won the 2020 Academy of American Poets prize for On Learning To Dissect Fetal Pigs.
She was murdered by ICE in Minneapolis.
One of the messages in the poem is “make room for wonder.”
Rest in Peace Renée
