Co-taught by Olynda Smith and Mara Bishop at beautiful Sfeer Studio in Chapel Hill
Yoga and shamanism are both ancient practices that help us connect to the divine that is within us and surrounds us. In this collaborative afternoon, we will explore ways that shamanic journeying and yoga can complement each other. We will create sacred space and work with drumming, the asanas of yoga, meditation and the practice of shamanic journeying. This class is open to people experienced in, or new to, either discipline. We will provide basic instruction in both shamanic journeying and yoga as a way to connect to guidance, spiritual support, and a peaceful body and mind. For those familiar with yoga, journeying or both, this is an opportunity to explore how the one discipline may bring you deeper into the experience of the other. If you are new to both, you are also welcome to join in the fun!

Olynda Smith is a writer, a traveler, a yogini, and a mama. With over a decade of yoga teaching experience, Olynda is a very versatile teacher and is able to guide new yoga students as well as inspire and challenge students who have been practicing for many years. She has a passion for therapeutic yoga, for pre/postnatal yoga, and for working with the archetypes of the divine feminine. More about Olynda.
Mara Bishop is a shamanic practitioner, author, and artist. In her private practice, Mara combines intuitive consultations, shamanic healing, and energetic healing to provide an integrated approach to spiritual healing, personal growth and emotional well-being. She is the author of the book Inner Divinity: Crafting Your Life with Sacred Intelligence© and the companion CD of guided meditations. More about Mara.
