DESCRIPTION:Part of the regular series of Shamanism Without Borders gatherings. \nShamanism Without Borders is a community working to provide ethical tending when there is a crisis that faces our communities. This community is comprised of people who can work collectively\, and respond quickly\, to natural disasters and other acute events\, and also more chronic issues like pollution and other forms of suffering to humans\, animals\, plants\, and land. It’s an intentional and clear process that allows us to be of service in our own unique ways of working shamanically as guided by the helping spirits\, and also having some checks to make sure that we are not invested in outcomes or too attached emotionally. \nThese will either be call in ceremonies where I will lead you through the process\, or virtual gatherings that you can do independently in your own space while others are working on the same issue. \nToday’s ceremony will be a call in. \nThe theme for the gathering will be racial equality in the US\, how we can see clearly about ourselves and what is appropriate action to take. \nThere is no charge. \nTo fully participate in the ceremony you’ll want to have some knowledge of\, and experience with\, shamanic practice\, especially a strong relationship with your helping spirits. These aren’t instructional sessions; we are getting right to the work. If you do not have shamanic journeying experience\, but feel called to listen and learn more about working in this way\, you are welcome to join the call! Just please do not engage in practices that you are not trained to do\, even with the best of intentions. DESCRIPTION:In 2020 I am hosting a regular series of Shamanism Without Borders gatherings. \nShamanism Without Borders is a community working to provide ethical tending when there is a crisis that faces our communities. This community is comprised of people who can work collectively\, and respond quickly\, to natural disasters and other acute events\, and also more chronic issues like pollution and other forms of suffering to humans\, animals\, plants\, and land. It’s an intentional and clear process that allows us to be of service in our own unique ways of working shamanically as guided by the helping spirits\, and also having some checks to make sure that we are not invested in outcomes or too attached emotionally. \nThese will either be call in ceremonies where I will lead you through the process\, or virtual gatherings that you can do independently in your own space while others are working on the same issue. \nToday’s ceremony will be a call in. \nDial in number: 712-775-7035 \nAccess code: 347320 \nThe theme for the gathering will be compassion fatigue. \nThere is no charge. \nTo fully participate in the ceremony you’ll want to have some knowledge of\, and experience with\, shamanic practice\, especially a strong relationship with your helping spirits. If you do not have shamanic journeying experience\, but feel called to listen and learn more about working in this way\, you are welcome to join the call! There are many ways to respond to crisis. Sometimes immediate physical action is needed. When possible\, we can send money or supplies\, make phone calls\, or be a patient listener. In addition to these visible methods\, working in the invisible realms can have a deep effect\, personally and collectively. \nDuring this brief midday session we will connect to the divine within\, not to turn away from the tragedies that are happening all around\, not to navel gaze\, but to create light. \nThe ancient principle of “as within so without” reminds us how powerful it can be when we remember our inner divinity\, and see other people\, places\, animals and communities in their divine light as well. \nSome logistics – participants will be muted\, so you can eat your lunch while I introduce the work. I’ll talk for a bit at the beginning and then will lead a guided meditation to move into the healing with spiritual light space\, where we’ll have sound\, but no words\, so you can sink in.
